scattered improvements

hello again! got a buncha cool things to show off on top of the usual new arts, so let's go through it:

"no ai" notice

unfortunately important to display in this day and age. fuck that stuff to hell. at least i get to show i know my dune sayings with it-

better char cards

not a ton of progress on char profiles themselves; i only wrote/completed a couple. BUT! now we have new fancy cards with portraits, just as promised.

you'll also notice art pages don't use these directly; rather, they have fancy "tags" with just the char portrait (and rating stamp if need be ofc). this same "tag" component is also now in the "relationships" char profile section, and i think it looks pretty dope :)

better art icons

char cards aren't the only improved cards; art ones now have better icons. instead of a single "user folder" icon to mark art for other people, we now have:

• a gift for free art
• a money bill for paid art
• a handshake for collabs

when hovered, these also provide the same details you find in the actual art page. hell yeah!

new blog style

it's all in mono! wanted to give it a typewriter sort of flair. might not be to everyone's tastes so lemme know if you like it or no; both opinions are valuable!

other improvements

• breadcrumbs are here! you can now easily go back one or several pages without trouble.
• page subtypes are here! blogposts, art, characters, etc now all have a subtitle that indicated what page type you're dealing with. might be a little obvious but makes things a lot more ordered imho.
• quotes! go have a look at "about" or "interests".

...oh yea also i left fa for good!

you prob already noticed, but my art doesn't point to corresponding furaffinity posts anymore. killed my acc for good. as much as that sucks for audience conservation, i v much prefer having to deal with Just One Place, and said place being one i have a satisfactory degree of control over.

i know, fa now has banners, display names and all that, but it's still a very poorly managed behemoth of technical debt. it still has no proper block feature. its integrated tagging system ("category, "theme", "species") is ass. just let people type their own things istg.

and that's not even tackling social ecosystem issues, like hey fa! maybe do start banning well-known fascists! but hey guess that's not easy when you think with what's in your pants first and common sense second amirite.

ANYWAY i have my own little website now so fuck that place forever-

ok back to updates. future ones to be precise

now that a lot of things are actually properly polished, the roadmap / list of things to deploy is pretty clear.

• at least one lore wiki for /works/lore
• the /works/texts section
• my personal alterhuman shape refs at /about/me (or a similar url)

all of these are big and difficult but they will be done!! i have CONFIDENCE now.
