Alceryx

Alceryx has an Asralim upper body and a red dragon taur lower body. she has red eyes, sharp teeth and her hair is tied (with pearls) into a pair of ponytails. Her lower body is red, with a fiery yellow underside. It also has a pair of wings, a long tail and sharp claws (4 on each limb).

Alceryx usually wears blue sorcerer clothing; a mage hat, a jacket with large sleeves, sleeves for her forelegs and hindlegs, a taur loincloth, and a multi-purpose belt to carry her equipment. Most of these clothes feature white fur.

Alceryx was born in a family of mages, and enthusiastically followed the same career.

After successful studies, she got a job as a researcher, which had her test a variety of transformative spells in old runes so that her colleagues could transcribe them into modern runes.

One day, she forgot the instructions of a dragon form spell in the middle of casting it, botching it entirely; as a result, she traded her legs for a wingless dragon body.

She first panicked when doctors and mages told her it was irreversible, even through Somatem. But after getting used to her condition, she started enjoying her new body, and eventually came to love it; from now on, she would refer to it as a blessing in disguise rather than an accident.

She eventually went through Somatem, acquiring wings for her taur body and sharp teeth to match its aesthetics. This is the only recorded case of an Asralim somehow gaining another species's body parts.

Having become immune to transformative spells, Alceryx kept her job but now deals solely with rune design and transcription.

In learning to take care of her taur body, she also put her alchemist skills to practice and developed several cosmetics; she sells those to a few shops for extra revenue.

Being able to fly, Alceryx lives in a comfortable tower on a mountain not too far from her workplace; she had known about it for a while, but couldn't afford the time to reach or leave it by walk, nor the money to install means of teleportation.

Along with her taur body, Alceryx gained the power to breathe fire. She discovered it after catching a cold and sneezing in front of a colleague, whose robes caught fire in the process but was thankfully unharmed in the end. She now controls this ability at will, mostly using it to heat up ingredients when doing alchemy.

Alceryx is an avid reader of all kinds of fiction. Her favorite genre is crime novels.

A couple decades after Alceryx passing away, her case would become the basis of the Somatem-centric research of Dr. Joaño Vimer.
