Arty

Anthys like Arty are a species of anthropomorphic reptiles, close to snakes. They have 5 fingered hands and 3-toed feet, all with sharps claws, a tail, and 2 rows of sharp teeth. Males like Arty also have hoods, like cobras.

Arty specifically has 3 heads, 6 arms and 3 legs, due to a series of body modifications.

Lohany and his sister Neta were raised by their uncle and aunt, in a decently wealthy family. Lohany's parents worked in law enforcement, dismantling criminal networks, and were barely at home. But in his young mind, Lohany's parents were some almost superheroes, and he deeply admired them despite their absence. More than anything, he wished to follow the same career as them.

However, as system corruption on Niraely spread, the judiciary system's budget was greatly reduced, and so was law enforcement's. As the criminal networks Lohany's parents fought consolidated their relationship with government officials, tensions grew in the Aigean family. But though their job proved harder and more depressing by the day, Lohany's parents kept going, if only to secure money for their children's education.

Someday, tragedy struck Lohany's life; his parent's intervention group was ambushed, and its members killed in a low-orbit ship explosion. Zero survivors. Lohany's uncle and aunt hid the truth for a couple weeks, unsure how to tell it to him and his sister, but eventually told them. Lohany was only 12 at the time, and just couldn't process the event; his parents were heroes! They had to be alive and well… right? When he finally understood what happened in full, he only felt his determination grow; he would join law enforcement too, and strike back at those who robbed him of his parents.

Once he completed his studies and joined the force, Lohany's idealistic view of the system broke down. After witnessing his fair share of manipulative relationships, bribes and unspoken secrets, he started reexamining his belief. Why would his parents have kept working for such an obviously corrupted system?

Now convinced law enforcement wouldn't ever be able to help him shed some truth on the case that cost his parents their lives, Lohany gradually switched sides, and started connecting with the very same criminal networks he despised. As he grew closer to them, he made a couple friends, but also a lot of enemies, and grew wary if not straight up paranoid in response. Eventually, he started fearing for his safety, and left Niraely before undergoing extensive body modification to acquire a new identity; that of Arty, sniper for hire.

Arty, now a hitman with a solid reputation, travels the Galaxy far and wide to make the world better, one mission and bullet at a time. Though he only accepts jobs targeting despicable people and feels like he's contributing to making the Galaxy better, he can't help but wish he had the courage to return to Niraely, and learns the truth about his parent's death once and for all.

Though he accepts surgical body modifications, Arty absolutely refuses to get cybernetic enhancements, or have any electronic device added to his body.
