Asuka

Above the belt, Asuka is mostly human. She has light brown skin, unkempt black hair, 3 breasts and her hands are polydactyl. Her nails are naturally black.

Below the belt however, she has unique raven features; 3 legs that become raven ones below the knee, and a tail of feathers of the same color as her hair. Her claws, like her nails, are black.

Asuka often wears a short light beige top and claw gloves of similar color. She also wears large, baggy black pants with red magatama patterns, and black fingerless gloves.

Her hair arranged into a messy bun, attached by a red piece of braided fabric on each side, and adorned with a faded yellow magatama. Finally, she wears large, round tinted glasses.

Asuka was born in a fairly remote village at the base of a mountain, deep in the countryside of Nara Prefecture. Her family (also yōkai people, save a few humans here and there) have been tending to a local shrine for generations. Said shrine being a major local tourism spot, Asuka was raised with the hope of perpetuating the familial traditions.

However, she decided from a young age she'd become a photographer. From an early age, she would regularly bother her father so he would lend her his trusty film camera and take pictures of everything she was interested in; toys, school friends, animals, etc.

Growing up, Asuka refined her technique and picked up both portrait and landscape photography. Feeling guilty for not planning to stay in the village in the long term, she decided to help her parents in her own way; she would take pictures of the shrine, mountain and local area, and setup a small exhibition to garner public attention.

After months of hard work, the exhibition was finally held at a nearby city, as part of an initiative to foster the talents of young artists. Asuka's photos were very well received, and even landed her a prize. Motivated by this unexpected result, Asuka had a friend put together a small website for her to publish her works.

A couple months later, said friend contacted Asuka again, telling her two of her friends were interested in her works and wanted to talk about art. Flattered, Asuka accepted. That' i's how she would meet Luka & Morgan, quickly becoming their best friend, then girlfriend.

Asuka keeps participating to small exhibitions, hoping to build a solid enough portfolio to enter an actual art school. She's also learning French in order to visit Luka & Morgan as soon as possible; and if all goes well, maybe moving to France with them?

Asuka picked up smoking shortly after turning 20, much to her parents' dismay. She doesn't smoke much, but has trouble quitting it; she tried and failed 2 times so far.

Asuka's first name features the kanji for "bird", "鳥". Her last name translates to "bottom of mountain", referencing her family's roots.
