Haley

Haley has short, messy white hair (which used to be brown) and orange eyes (which used to be green). She also has 4 arms, 2 heads, and 2 pairs of breasts.

Haley was born from a couple of ship engineers, Caldwinn Albaton and Eloise Albaton, on an Earth-affiliated cargo vessel named Arrowny II. Growing up, she quickly got interested in ships like her parents, but her interest soon focused more on competitive racing than maintenance.

Haley struggled to first get her innate pilot talents recognised; she participated in a number of illegal races that, while demonstrating her skills, got her into all sorts of trouble. Eventually, she got in touch with an official, seemingly respectable space racing team called RainWing. She had a short but prolific career working for them, breaking a few records. But one day, as she was (unknowingly) driving an experimental engine, she got into a life-threatening accident.

It is common in space racing to grow backup clones for pilots, so one's body can be "fixed" with a simple brain transplant. However, Haley's backup clone wasn't fully formed at the time of the accident, and so the only option surgeons had was to patch her up with it directly. Haley's life was saved, but her body was irreversibly changed, as she gained the extras she has nowadays. In the process, her hair also lost its color, and the medical substances used to fix her eyes altered their color.

RainWing had covered the accident by passing the changes Haley had undergone as voluntary body modifications, and made sure Haley would get into major trouble should she try pursuing them. Haley left RainWing and returned to her parents. But because of their strong opposition to this kind of self-alteration, Haley's relationship with her them rapidly deteriorated. Unable to get them to believe what really happened to her, she ended up cutting ties with them entirely.

After and a long period of depression and physical adjustment, Haleyis now back into space racing, though at the other end of the galaxy. Currently employed by a much smaller space racing team, she's slowly trying to build back her reputation, as well as her self-esteem.

Haley's nickname comes from the eponymous comet. The ship she was born on borrows it name from Final Fantasy VI playable character Relm Arrowny.
