Hinguru

Hinguru Kemer was born in a Federation-owned orphanage, and assigned female at birth. He didn't have any idea who his parents were, but he liked his comrades, and where he lived; and he could've probably led a peaceful life if he hadn't been selected to take part in a experimental treatment.

From what Hinguru knew, the Federation had randomly picked children to be part of a long-term supersoldier creation experiment, called "Grow Up V2A". As part of this experiment, Hinguru was administered a variety of drugs; these not only made him obedient, but greatly enhanced his muscular and cerebral development.

As he was then pushed to enter the military, he came out as trans and asked for hormonal therapy; the doctors in charge of Grow Up V2A accepted, after cursory exams that suggested such a treatment shouldn't pose any problem to their plans.

At military school, Hinguru's performance far exceeded the other students'; regular tests were meaningless to him because of his uncanny strength, focus and reaction speed. Hinguru himself was proud of these results, and his general happiness was at an all-time high. But once he got out of school and had his first on-field experiences, his mood fully turned around. The absurdities of war crushed his spirit. People killed others and were killed without reason. No one knew what was happening anywhere. What little actual combat occurred felt without purpose. Faces with no names. Massacres without glory.

To top it all, Hinguru's performances steadily declined. The Grow Up V2A doctors quickly isolated the cause: Hinguru's HRT had irreversibly interfered with his supersoldier treatment; not to that grave an extent for him, but enough for the Federation to give him the boot without as much as thanks for his service. Hinguru's health, both physical and mental, gravely degraded as he became yet another junkie war vet, devoid of any will to live.

Years later, Hinguru was approached by Winter and offered a chance to enact revenge upon the Federation that ruined his life. It explained to him how his biological parents had been "disposed of" by the Federation, and how his childhood in an orphanage was carefully planned. It gave him the complete Grow Up V2A files, with its full staff list. It told him everything his tutors had hidden from him through all of his life.

Hinguru is today, along with Luz and Xtal, one of Winter's closest friends and subordinates, as a member of SINKO. His unrestrained, crafty brutality has proved helpful to his new friends many times, and he's anything but ashamed of it.

Hinguru is eager to take down the system that made him who he is today, but would be reluctant to admit he has no life plans beyond this immediate goal. As a broken, cynical guerrilla fighter, he yearns for the hypothetical day he'll finally be able to lead a tranquil, peaceful civilian life.
