Tonazio

Tonazio has 4 arms and a tail. Part of his hair is tied by a ribbon. He has blue-purple eyes.

Tonazio almost always wears the same costume; a short purple cape, a yellow jacket, purple pants, and yellow shoes. Parts of this costume are decorated with eerie symbols, like ghastly faces or skulls.

Because he rarely shares information about himself, not much is known about Tonazio's past. Apparently, his parents were farmers, and he has two older brothers. From his specific words, it is believed Tonazio's parents are dead, and his brothers are still alive. Investigators have established many theories, but none are quite close to the truth.

Tonazio proved sadistic at a very early age. He was uninterested in conventional toys and activities; what pleased him was having power over other people and creatures, especially by hurting them. His parents scolded him and encouraged him to be kinder to others, but this only pushed Tonazio to better hide his nature.

Both his parents, ████ and ██████, and his oldest brother ████ thought Tonazio had grown up into a better person, and weren't worried about him anymore. But his second older brother, Alef (he), knew this was just a facade, and only a matter of time until something happened to the family.

Alef would regularly try to expose Tonazio, only to barely fail every single time. He was especially frustrated by his family thinking he was paranoid, or even delirious. Despite this, he did his best to protect them, going to great lengths to ensure Tonazio had as few opportunities to hurt them as possible.

…No one knows exactly how because Alef hasn't talked much to those who hunt his brother, but his whole family was brutally murdered. ████, ██████, ████, and even the dog they had. Ever since, Alef has sworn to dedicate his life to stopping his psychopathic brother, by all means necessary.

Tonazio travels all over the world, killing or torturing innocent people and creatures as he pleases. Lately, he started taking mercenary contracts; he believes this might be a good way to make a living while continuing to satisfy his impulses.

Tonazio will never admit it, but he's terribly afraid of Alef, the only person he never truly had under control. Just like Alef himself, he doesn't know if he'll be able to kill his brother once they finally meet again. As he goes from town to town, he's not sure if he's running after him or away from him.

The rune-inscribed gems on Tonazio's collar and scythe each house the trapped soul of one of his murdered family members, using them as the energy source of exceptionally strong enchantments.
